DIRECTOR, CINEMATOGRAPHER

Bogdan has a Babeș-Bolyai Cluj-Napoca University alumni with a BA degree in Cinematography, Photography and Media. He started showing interest in film since high school when he created a short animation awarded at Infomatrix and called ”No One Bats An Eye”. During his university studies and later, working for his thesis project, he grew up to be an amazing cinematographer. He directed and photographed a short documentary “Cow Bell” which has been selected in 5 festivals around the world including the East Silver Market from the Institute of Documentary Film from Central Eastern Europe. Besides films he worked on several commercials and music videos, from small local artists to international known brands like Greenpeace, Lidl, Electric Castle and more.

SOUND DEPARTMENT

Alexandru Popa is a an artist specialized on film editing and sound editing. He has graduated from The Faculty of Theater and Film, studying film montage and sound and currently he follows a master's degree program on Documentary Filmmaking. He is also passionate in making music, experimenting with many genres and also with film scoring. He likes challenges and always comes with innovative ideas for any project.

EDITOR

Things like suspense, tension and cliffhanger are as usual as ”Good Morning!” or ”How is the weather?", but in the meantime, he is a sneakerhead who drinks lots of espressos. At the moment, he is studying his Master degree in Documentary Filmmaking, and he also works very often with film photography. Making film photography is another way of how Octavian ”cuts to”. He loves to deconstruct the process of editing and he tries to find new ways to improve it. Afterwards, editing is certainly an art itself, isn't it?

Director, Screenwriter

Ema has a BA degree in Filmology from Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca. During her studies, she became interested in film criticism, so she started working with Transylvania International Film Festival (TIFF) and Astra Film Festival, being involved in the festivals’ editorial departments. Ema is a free-spirited person, a creative screenwriter and a passionate storyteller. This is her contribution to Rebel Noise, the project she co-founded.
